Summary

Saint Seiya: Ougon Densetsu‑hen – Perfect Edition feels like a love letter to the classic NES titles that first brought the Bronze Saints to handheld screens. By rebuilding the two original games on the WonderSwan Color, TOSE and Bandai managed to tighten the anime’s narrative, adding scenes that were missing from the earlier releases while still trimming a few redundant combat functions. The result is a role‑playing experience that stays true to the series’ mythic tone, offering a more complete picture of the Gold Legend without overwhelming the portable hardware. Fans of the franchise will recognize the familiar sprite work, but the streamlined mechanics make the adventure feel fresh for a 2003 audience.
