Storyline

Super Raiden is set in the year 2090, when an alien race called the Crystals launches a full‑scale invasion of Earth. The Crystals hijack most of the planet’s military hardware, turning humanity’s own weapons against it. In response, the global defense coalition Vanquish Crystal Defense (VCD) engineers a new fighter called the Fighting Thunder, built using reverse‑engineered Crystal technology. The Fighting Thunder becomes the sole weapon capable of striking back at the invaders. VCD deploys the craft as humanity’s last hope for survival.
