Summary

Metamor Jupiter is a sci‑fi shoot ’em up that rides the TurboGrafx‑CD’s CD‑audio capabilities. The soundtrack is the real star, composed by Masaya Matsuura—who later became known for the rhythm‑game hit Parappa the Rapper—so the music feels surprisingly modern for a 90s shooter. The game’s visual style leans into neon‑lit space corridors, and the enemy patterns keep you on your toes without overwhelming the screen. I love how the audio and visuals sync, giving each level its own pulse. It’s a hidden gem for anyone who enjoys retro shooters with a strong musical identity.
