Summary
Image Fight II: Operation Deepstriker expands the vertical shooter formula with a layered progression system that feels like a secret test before the real battle. After humanity’s fragile peace is shattered by a mysterious wave of alien objects, the player pilots a heavily armed ship through four “simulation stages” that act as a skill gate; only a high enough rating unlocks the six subsequent “real stages," while a stumble drops you into a short but frantic Penalty Area. The arsenal mirrors the original Image Fight, letting you attach up to three colored orbs—blue for forward fire and red for reverse fire—while front‑mounted secondary devices such as lasers and missiles can be swapped only when you take a direct hit, forcing you to adapt on the fly. This risk‑reward mechanic, combined with the dual‑stage structure, gives the game a tension that keeps each run feeling fresh, even after multiple playthroughs.
