Summary

I first stumbled upon Hihou Densetsu Chris no Bouken while digging through a stash of TurboGrafx‑CD titles, and the game’s bright, sprite‑driven action immediately caught my eye. The CD format lets the soundtrack shine with a crisp, upbeat vibe that feels surprisingly modern for a 1991 Japanese release.

Even though it never left Japan, the title has become a hidden gem among collectors, offering tight platforming and quirky boss battles that reward precise timing. Its rarity only adds to the charm, making each playthrough feel like uncovering a secret chapter of retro gaming history.
