Summary

Exile: Wicked Phenomenon (often called Exile II) caps the Japanese‑origin series with a North‑American launch by Working Designs in 1993 that even bragged a rare boss photograph on the box art. The game drops the hideout screens of its predecessor and lets you swap on‑fly between Sadler and his teammates—Rumi, Kindi, and Fakhyle—so each combat sequence feels like a fluid squad battle. A nod to the series’ darker humor comes in the form of “cananavis” narcotics, which briefly puff up your stats before the high wears off. The HUD was stripped down to just health, experience and cash, discarding the old AP and AC meters and keeping the screen clear for the fast‑paced swordplay and magic attacks. Overhead town hubs, side‑scrolling dungeons and cinematic cuts blend together, offering an action‑RPG that feels both nostalgic and oddly modern for a 1992‑era TurboGrafx‑CD title.

Storyline

In Exile: Wicked Phenomenon, Sadler is now striving to defeat chaos and solve the mystery of an ancient tower.
