Summary

Tatsunoko Fighter, sometimes called Dragon Fighter, is a straightforward platformer that rewards clever use of its hero’s stick. The stick works as a basic melee tool, but the magic book lets you fire energy blasts by pressing Run and toggling weapons with Up or Down – each shot drains a modest magic meter. When the game throws a tough boss at the end of an area, you can trigger a transformation into a topless fighter, gaining a chain‑whip that consumes magic but delivers far heavier hits.

Defeated foes drop a variety of orbs: red P’s for power‑ups, green P’s to boost max life, green M’s to refill magic, plus time‑freeze clocks, bombs and potions. Money collected can be spent in the town at each area’s end to buy extra lives, magic, or to upgrade the stick into a sharper spear.

The title also offers infinite continues, so you can keep pushing through the stages without the pressure of a hard reset.
