Summary

Power Eleven is a Japan‑only football game for the PC Engine that uses a classic top‑down view and belongs to Hudson Soft’s Power Sports Series.

You can pick from twelve national squads – from Brazil and Germany to the host Japan – each player defined by five stats (Run, Dribble, Kick, Technique, Power) that range from 1 to 10. The Power meter fuels faster runs and harder shots, drains as you use it, refills a bit at halftime and fully after each match.

The core "Hudson Cup" pits your chosen team against the other eleven in a ladder; victories unlock new substitutes (one per three goals) and a password or save file. After the eleventh win you see a World Cup‑hand celebration, then the game restarts at a permanent Level 3 difficulty with the same order of opponents.

Beyond the cup, there are Vs, Watch and PK modes, selectable formations (2‑forward, 433, 532) and half‑length options of two, four or six real minutes. Controls are simple: I for kicks, II to trigger the power bar, Select to manage subs.

Japanese reviewers gave it a 68/100, highlighting its catchy soundtrack and lasting replay value.
