Summary

Necromancer, known in Japan as Jaseiken Necromancer, is a fantasy RPG that first appeared on the PC Engine (TurboGrafx‑16) back in 1988. Though it never received an official English translation, the title resurfaced years later on Nintendo’s Virtual Console for Wii and Wii U, where it kept its original Japanese script but was marketed abroad under the simplified name "Necromancer." The most recent boost came with the 2020 TurboGrafx‑16 Mini launch, which included the game among its 57‑title lineup, finally giving Western collectors a convenient way to experience this hidden gem without needing the original hardware.
