Summary

Makai Prince Dorabochan is a quirky 2D side‑scrolling platformer that lets you wield both magic and stone. You play as the titular demon prince, Dorabo, on a rescue mission to save his master from an invading horde of evil demons. Along the way, you can collect armor suits that boost your stats and grab temporary power‑ups such as a double‑jump, a stun‑inducing syringe, or cleats that let you stomp enemies. The real charm comes from the Moai guardians: summon a bat with a bell and these burly stone statues appear, forming bridges or revealing hidden passages. The game also introduced a set of upgrade items and power‑ups that feel fresh for a TurboGrafx‑16 title. Dorabochan later resurfaced in the SNES’s Chou Makai Taisen! Dorabocchan (known in the West as The Twisted Tales of Spike Mfang) and even starred in a Super Famicom golf spin‑off, cementing his oddball legacy.
