Summary

Bikkuriman World turns the classic arcade adventure Wonder Boy in Monster Land into a colorful ride through the world of the Bikkuriman anime. Westone, the original creator of Wonder Boy, handled this PC Engine launch version themselves, swapping monsters and power-ups for the series' iconic heroes and stickers.
The game keeps the side‑scroll platform mechanics that fans love while layering a nostalgic manga aesthetic that was fresh in Japanese arcades of the early ’90s. As one of the two titles that debuted with the TurboGrafx‑16, it showcased the system’s ability to deliver a faithful arcade conversion with a unique franchise twist.
Even if you never saw the show, the blend of familiar gameplay and quirky, sticker‑collecting characters makes it a memorable part of early console history.

Storyline

In Bikkuriman World for the TurboGrafx‑16, the kingdom has fallen under the tyrannical rule of Shizo Jura. The god‑like figure Super Zeus summons the brave Head Rokoko, charging him with a quest to defeat Jura’s legion of underlings.
Rokoko battles through varied realms, confronting each foe to gather the strength needed for the final assault. The journey leads him to the dark castle where Jura awaits, and only by overcoming the gauntlet can the kingdom be freed.
