Summary

Whizz stands out as one of the rare 3D platformers that sticks to an isometric camera, which makes navigation feel like a puzzle in itself. The control scheme is deliberately quirky: nudging the stick to the right actually slides the character down‑right, while pushing it down‑right sends you straight down, so you quickly learn to think in diagonal terms. Every stage is a race against the clock, and the routes aren’t always obvious, encouraging a bit of trial‑and‑error to find the fastest path. Enemies roam the levels, but taking them out isn’t rewarding—each hit drains your energy, turning combat into a costly gamble and shifting the focus toward clever avoidance. Because killing foes penalises you, the points you collect become less central than mastering the level’s geometry and timing.
