Summary

Waka Taka Ozumo: Brothers Dream Match is a quirky sumo‑themed fighting game that landed on the Super Famicom in 1993. Developed by the little‑known Tomcat System and published by Imagineer, it never made it outside Japan, which gives it a certain cult‑collector aura among retro enthusiasts. The game’s visuals lean heavily into the colorful, exaggerated world of professional sumo, turning the traditional sport into a fast‑paced arcade showdown. Even though the mechanics are simple, the roster of stylized wrestlers and the over‑the‑top arena designs keep the experience fresh for anyone who enjoys a blend of sport and spectacle. Its Japan‑only release means it’s a hidden gem that often pops up in discussions about obscure SNES titles.
