Summary

The Lost Vikings is a side‑scrolling platform puzzle that flips the usual single‑hero formula on its head. You juggle three distinct Vikings—Eric the Swift, who can leap, sprint and bash through walls; Olaf the Stout, whose shield doubles as a blocker, glider and stepping stone; and Baleog the Fierce, an archer‑swordsman who fires arrows at switches and foes. The game forces you to think like a team, swapping control between them at any moment to solve increasingly clever obstacles. Each character carries a tiny inventory, so you must decide which items to stash and which to leave behind. With only three health points per Viking and instant‑kill hazards lurking, a single mistake can send you back to the start, making every puzzle feel earned.

Storyline

In the SNES title Viking no Daimeiwaku, three Viking heroes—Eric the Swift, Olaf the Stout, and Baleog the Fierce—find themselves abducted by the alien Tomator, the tyrannical ruler of Crouton. Tomator is obsessed with gathering rare life forms to fill his bizarre gallery, and the trio must escape his clutches. Using their distinct abilities, the Vikings battle through a gauntlet of foes, from hostile aliens and relentless robots to oversized snails and massive lizards. Each encounter forces them to combine their skills in creative ways, turning the oddball enemies into stepping stones toward Tomator’s stronghold. Ultimately, the three must confront the alien overlord himself and put an end to his twisted collection.
