Summary

Tetris 2, known in Japan as Tetris Flash, takes the classic falling‑block formula and flips it on its side. Instead of clearing lines, you line up three squares of the same hue, causing them to vanish in a Dr. Mario‑style cascade. The tetrominos are quirky too—some pieces only touch at the corners, which forces you to think about color as much as shape. The Super Nintendo version shines with bright background graphics and a solid two‑player mode, earning an 85.8% aggregate on GameRankings and glowing scores from Electronic Gaming Monthly (nine out of ten and several eight‑point reviews). GamePro gave it a perfect five stars, and Nintendo Power declared it the best Tetris experience on any system, even outclassing its NES and Game Boy siblings.
