Summary

Super Goal! 2, known in Japan as Takeda Nobuhiro no Super Cup Soccer, lets you chase the Super Cup either alongside or against the legendary Japanese forward Nobuhiro Takeda. The roster spans every continent—Europe, North and Central America, the Caribbean, South America, Africa, Asia and Oceania—so you can pick a team from almost any region. When the game hit North America the Takeda references were stripped, folding the title into the existing Goal! series. A 2026 revival brought the SNES version to PS5 and Switch under the Jaleco Sports banner, with Sickhead Games handling the port and Rock It Games publishing; the re‑release even includes original manuals and box art in multiple languages. Reviewers praised the easy‑to‑learn controls and wealth of options, though a couple noted the tiny player sprites could make tracking the ball a challenge.
