Summary

Super Mad Champ throws you into high‑octane motorcycle races that feel like a blend of Road Rash’s combat and classic arcade speed. You start with no cash, but every successful attack, wheelie or race finish pads your wallet, letting you upgrade or repair bikes between Grand Prix tiers (GP2, GP1, Super). The game’s combat is surprisingly tactile: you can punch, block, jump‑kick, or even grab‑roll while on foot after being ejected, and you can even pick up and hurl your own wrecked bike. Each rider and machine has its own damage meter, so managing stamina and bike health becomes a strategic dance between aggression and preservation. Settings let you tweak controls and sound, and a password system saves progress for later sessions. Developed by the same Givro crew behind Shin Nekketsu Kōha, the team—directed by Nanako Geya and illustrated by artists like Duke Ishikawa—packed the Super Famicom with 150 km/h stock speeds, pixel‑perfect tracks, and a soundtrack by Hikoshi Hashimoto, all released exclusively in Japan in March 1995.
