Summary

Super Bonk (known in Europe as Super B.C. Kid) feels like a nostalgic remix of the classic Bonk 3 formula, but with a time‑travel twist that keeps each stage feeling fresh. You bounce from a stone‑age jungle into the belly of a dinosaur, zip through a neon‑lit Chinatown, and even hop onto the moon, all while smashing enemies with Bonk’s trademark head‑butt.

The game’s charm lies in its quirky power‑ups: a shooting Bonk Crab that fires projectiles, the hulking Big Kronk dinosaur form, and size‑changing candies that shrink or enlarge you at a whim. Propeller seeds let you glide, and for the first time you can balance spring flowers on your noggin as you chase King Drool. Hidden tubes and bonus rooms pepper the levels, rewarding exploration with extra lives and points.

Critics gave Super Bonk a mixed reception – a solid 71.5% on GameRankings and a #44 spot on Total!’s SNES top‑100 list, though some noted the controls felt a bit clunky. Still, the vibrant graphics, inventive forms, and endless bonus stages make it a memorable, if underrated, platformer.
