Summary

Super Bonk, known in Japan as Super Genjin, is the fourth outing for the head‑bashing caveman on the Super Nintendo. The side‑scrolling platformer tosses you across wildly different eras – from prehistoric jungles and the belly of a dinosaur to a neon‑lit Chinatown and even the moon.

Along the way Bonk can snag a host of quirky power‑ups: a shooting crab shell, the hulking dinosaur form “Big Kronk,” size‑changing candies, and spring‑flower helmets that let him bounce higher. Propeller seeds give him brief flight, and his trusty head‑smash remains the core of combat, all while he chases the ever‑present menace King Drool.

After its 1994 SNES debut, Super Bonk resurfaced on Nintendo’s Virtual Console – first in Japan (Nov 16 2010), then the PAL territories (Dec 10), and finally North America (Apr 4 2011) – giving a new generation a chance to experience its time‑hopping charm.
