Summary

Super Bases Loaded (often just called Super Bases Loaded) brings a quirky roster of twelve fictional clubs—like the Atlanta Amoebas, Boston Buzzards, and Hawaii Islanders—onto the SNES, and even lets you edit your own team’s name and colors. The single‑player mode has you take on the other eleven squads in a row, aiming for a perfect 100‑point rating by keeping errors, walks, strike‑outs and other stats in check; each flawless game bumps you up through five difficulty tiers, and a perfect score on the toughest team ends the campaign. A two‑player showdown and a "watch" mode let you sit back while two CPUs battle, adding a casual spectator option that was rare for the era. Critics praised the realistic player animation and the catchy soundtrack, but they all noted the graphics felt unfinished—one reviewer called the crowd "mush" and another lamented the muffled, repetitive dialogue. Despite those visual quirks, the solid gameplay and deep rating system earned it scores in the low‑80s from several magazines.
