Storyline

SOS (also known as SOS: The Final Escape) draws heavily from the 1969 novel and 1972 film The Poseidon Adventure. The game is set in 1921 aboard the luxury liner Lady Crithania, which is struck by a massive wave and capsizes. Players must navigate the flooded, tilting vessel and find a way out before it sinks completely.

Four characters each have their own story. Capris Wisher, a young architect, is traveling with his ill younger sister Amy, whose sickness becomes a serious obstacle. Counselor Redwin Gardner is on board with a mother and her children, Stella and Harry Adams, plus their nephew Jack Hamilton. Doctor Jeffrey Howell journeys with his wife Adela, while crewman Luke Haines doubts the ship can survive the sea conditions, a view his superiors reject.

The gameplay revolves around solving puzzles, rescuing companions, and managing limited resources as the ship lists and water rises. Each character’s personal stakes shape the challenges they face, making every playthrough a tense race against time.
