Summary

Shijō Saikyō League Serie A: Ace Striker, often just called Ace Striker, is a quirky Super Famicom soccer title that packs the entire 1994‑95 Italian Serie A roster into a cartoonish, "deformed" anime world. The game lets you line up any outfield player wherever you like on the pitch, though goalkeepers stay fixed in their traditional spot. Matches are punctuated by static, comic‑book style cut‑aways that flash whenever the ball finds the net, showing everything from a perfect strike to a striker’s goofy celebration. You can dive into one‑on‑one friend battles, a full league run, or a penalty shoot‑out, but beware the odd quirk where the keeper can leap before the taker even kicks. Despite its charm, contemporary reviewers only gave it a middling 20 out of 40, noting the odd mechanics and limited formation options.
