Summary

Saikousoku Shikou Shogi Mahjong blends two classic Japanese board games into a single SNES experience. Published by Varie, the title arrived in 1995 exclusively for the Japanese market, slipping under the radar of most Western gamers.
Its classification as a "Miscellaneous" title hints at the experimental nature of the gameplay, where shogi’s strategic depth meets mahjong’s tile‑matching rhythm. Though the console’s library was already crowded, this hybrid offered a curious challenge for fans willing to juggle both rule sets. Today it remains a quirky footnote in retro collections, prized by collectors who appreciate its oddball charm.
