Summary
I stumbled upon the Rockman X 2017 New Year's Hack, a fan‑made ROM for the SNES that Puresabe released to mark the Chinese Year of the Rooster. The hack sprinkles seasonal flair into the classic platformer, swapping out sprites and music cues for festive, rooster‑themed touches. It’s a quick, nostalgic reminder that the community still loves to remix old titles for special occasions. Even though it never saw an official release, the file circulates on retro forums and is a fun holiday collectible for any Mega Man fan.
