Summary

Redline F-1 Racer is essentially the North American face of Aguri Suzuki F-1 Super Driving, stripped of any official licensing but still featuring Suzuki’s likeness. The game mirrors the 1992 Formula One season, letting you pilot a Footwork car by default or pick from five look‑alike squads—McLaren, Ferrari, Williams, Benetton and Jordan—each sporting period‑accurate liveries. What sets it apart is the depth of car tweaking: you can adjust suspension, wings, brakes and even tire choice, which becomes crucial when the weather turns nasty and the wrong rubber sends you sliding off the track. Races can be run as single, non‑championship events or as a full season chase for both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ titles, with the FIA championship hanging in the balance. The SNES version leans on Mode 7 graphics, giving the tracks a pseudo‑3D feel reminiscent of Super Mario Kart and F‑Zero, while the PAL edition has become a collector’s rarity.
