Summary

In the year 5069 A.D., Earth lies in ruins after an alien onslaught wipes out most of humanity. The last hope is a Biomech cyborg that roams the five distinct realms, each a side‑scrolling stage packed with laser‑fire, heat‑seeking missiles and even plasma boomerangs. I love how the game forces you to juggle a constantly shifting arsenal while dodging swarms of alien drones, and the occasional crystal power‑up that grants a fleeting shield feels like a sweet, desperate lifeline. Every realm culminates in a massive boss that tests every weapon upgrade you’ve collected, making the progression feel both frantic and rewarding. The blend of sci‑fi storytelling and tight, run‑and‑gun action gives Realm a gritty, post‑apocalyptic vibe that still feels fresh on the SNES.
