Summary

In Putty Moon you control a bright‑blue blob with a pair of wobbling eyes that bounces naturally as it moves. The creature can stretch in any direction to bridge gaps, punch with a fist‑shaped extension, inflate for a cushioned landing or unleash a screen‑clearing smart‑bomb, and even melt into a puddle to become invulnerable and absorb anything that walks over it. Certain foes can be swallowed and later mimicked, granting the blob their special abilities, while a tiny coffee mug can be conjured to distract enemies.

Each stage scrolls vertically, filled with ordinary platforms, electric strips, bounce pads and solid ledges. The goal is simple yet frantic: rescue a set number of stranded bots before the timer runs out, carry them safely to a hovering saucer or an elevator, and avoid letting enemy attacks harm the rescued bots. Scattered power‑ups hand out points, temporary invincibility, or summon Uncle Ted, a Hammond‑organ‑playing man whose tune freezes every foe on screen.

The enemy roster is delightfully odd—terminator carrots, sausage‑accented Scousers and sword‑wielding spacemen—all eager to thwart your rescue mission. A quirky voice clip from Wally Maher as Screwy Squirrel even pops up as a line from the cat antagonist Dweezil, adding a nostalgic cartoon flair to the chaotic platforming.

Storyline

Putty Moon, the home of the gelatinous hero, has fallen under the control of the evil wizard Dazzledaze. The wizard, aided by his cat sidekick Dweezil, intends to capture the resident Putties and ship them to Earth as chewing‑gum. Expelled from his own world, the blob‑like protagonist Billy Putty must find a way back. To rescue his friends and drive Dazzledaze out, Billy enlists a crew of helpful robots that construct a towering skyscraper reaching toward Putty Moon. The player guides Billy through a series of platform levels, using his unique putty abilities to free captured allies and defeat obstacles.
