Summary

Nolan Ryan's Baseball stands out because it’s the only baseball game of its era that actually features a real‑world star without any official MLB licensing. Nolan Ryan himself appears with his surname, while every teammate and opponent is reduced to a simple first name, a clear sign that the developers couldn’t use the Major League Baseball Players Association roster. This odd mix gives the game a quirky, almost retro‑fan‑club vibe—imagine stepping up to the plate against a pitcher named "Mike" while the legendary Ryan watches from the mound. The title even earned a nod in the January 1992 issue of Nintendo Power, where it was reviewed among the month’s new releases, cementing its place in early‑90s SNES history.
