Storyline

Neugier: Umi to Kaze no Kodou (often just called Neugier) follows Duke, the son of Count Wein, who was exiled from his homeland long ago. When he learns that Neugier is under attack, he sets out to return and defend it.

During his voyage, Duke’s ship is ambushed by pirates led by a mysterious demon named Ord. He barely escapes, makes his way into his father’s castle, and discovers that the pirate raid and the monsters haunting the halls are linked. Though Count Wein remains distrustful, Duke is resolved to save the kingdom.

The game features real‑time battles as Duke fights his way through the cursed castle. In the English version, the central location’s name was changed from Neugier (German for “curiosity”) to Nogal.
