Summary

Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Gold 2000 stands out as a curious footnote in the franchise. It is essentially a bootleg conversion of the Sub‑Zero‑focused Mythologies that originally appeared on PlayStation and N64, re‑engineered for the Mega Drive and SNES by an anonymous team. The result is a version that mimics the original’s moves and levels but carries the rough edges of an unofficial release. Because no official studio backed it, the cartridge often shows mismatched logos and a slightly altered title screen. For collectors, it offers a glimpse into how the series was reshaped for 16‑bit hardware without any corporate endorsement.
