Summary

Mohawk & Headphone Jack spins you into a dizzying, rotating world where every platform feels like a carnival ride gone wild. You guide a sunglasses‑sporting, Walkman‑wielding hero who can morph into a wheel, spring, angel, or even a mer‑hawk, each form offering a quirky way to dodge segmented slinkies, robot bugs, and instant‑death spikes. Collecting colored CDs—some worth more points, others unlocking funky tracks like the oddly named "Elephant Funk"—fills a counter that, once satisfied, flashes an exit X on the map.

The game’s soundtrack is a nonstop rock pulse that keeps the adrenaline up as you scramble through 14 levels, each ending with a boss that tests your reflexes before you jump to a new world. Health is tracked by yellow triangles, and you can grab up to three floating balls that let you explode in a screen‑clearing blast, turning the chaos into a brief moment of control.

While the rotating screen can induce a bit of nausea, the sheer novelty of navigating a constantly shifting map and the sheer variety of forms keep the experience fresh, making Mohawk & Headphone Jack a memorable, if overlooked, SNES oddity.
