Summary

Miracle Girls lands on the Super Famicom as a quirky platformer that lets you pick either of the twin sisters, Mikage or Tomomi, as your avatar. Their only armament? Colorful candies that double as stun‑projectiles and temporary stepping stones, turning every level into a sweet‑tooth puzzle. The core feel mirrors Capcom’s Little Nemo on the NES, with side‑scrolling runs, precise jumps, and enemies that dissolve under a candy‑hit. Once you clear a stage, the game shifts into a brief boss‑facing mini‑game that tests the same reflexes in a tighter arena. A fun footnote is that several of the series’ characters later pop up in the DS crossover Nakayoshi All‑Stars: Mezase Gakuen Idol, linking the SNES title to a broader franchise universe.

Storyline

Miracle Girls follows the twin high‑schoolers Tomomi and Mikage Matsunaga, known as the "Miracle Girls" for their ESP powers. They can talk telepathically and, when they hold hands, vanish and teleport at will; Tomomi is the athletic elder twin while Mikage excels academically, and they often swap identities to help each other. The game opens on the school campus just as the girls and four friends are about to start lunch, when a glowing ball of light suddenly appears and whisks them away to a strange, distant world, leaving their friends missing. As they explore this unfamiliar realm, the twins must uncover who caused the teleportation and rescue their classmates. Meanwhile, a science teacher named Shinichiro Kageura, who has discovered their abilities, watches their movements, adding a layer of mystery to their quest.
