Summary

Melfand Stories is a hidden gem from the SNES era, a Japan‑only scrolling beat ’em up that feels like a nostalgic arcade hallway.

Sting Entertainment’s rough‑and‑ready design pairs classic side‑scroll combat with a dash of sorcery, letting you toss spells as easily as punches.

Between the brawls, the game slips in quirky mini‑games that break the rhythm, offering a brief puzzle‑like respite before the next wave of enemies.

Even though it never left Japan, the title’s blend of magic and button‑mashing makes it a curious footnote for retro collectors hunting obscure SNES experiences.
