Summary

Matsukata Hiroki no Super Trawling lets you step into the shoes of Japanese actor‑turned‑angler Hiroki Matsukata as you chase monster‑size catches in far‑flung spots like Mozambique, Cuba and Australia. The game treats each venue as a distinct board square, and you must steer your vessel from one square to the next before the clock runs out.

When a fish bites, a tug‑of‑war bar appears; the side that reaches the screen edge first loses, leaving the fish placid and the angler’s lure gone. Fish can tip the scales at around 340 kg (750 lb), with the exact weight shifting based on location and how deftly you play. A helpful female NPC pops up now and then to offer tips, while a variety of lures let you tailor your approach to each species.

Later tournaments add a twist: any catch under 100 lb (45 kg) must be released, forcing you to chase only the truly massive specimens. The interface is dominated by Japanese text, all measurements are metric, and a strict time limit keeps the pressure on throughout each fishing expedition.
