Summary

Little Magic (Beta) on the Super Famicom feels like a love letter to classic Sokoban‑style puzzles, but with a whimsical twist. You guide May as she charts a careful path for a sliding block, always wary of dead‑ends that could trap both her and the block.

What sets the game apart is May’s limited magic: she can plant a bomb that nudges the block once, and she can set up to five of these timed explosives on a single level. When the timer expires, the bomb gives the block a gentle shove, opening new routes. Of course, May can also simply push the block herself when she’s standing right next to it, making each level a delicate dance between manual strength and strategic bomb placement.

Storyline

Little Magic (Beta) follows May, a trainee witch on the brink of graduation. Her final exam at the magic academy consists of a series of block‑pushing puzzles. Using her budding magical abilities, May must shift each block into its correct position. The tests are designed to prove she can control her magic with precision. Success means she becomes a fully‑fledged witch.
