Summary

Kirby Bowl was slated to be the next step for the rolling‑ball series when Nintendo and HAL teamed up in 1995 for a Nintendo 64 version. The demo, shown at the Shoshinkai trade show the same day as Super Mario 64, highlighted the console’s analog stick, letting players steer Kirby with a precision the SNES could never match. It also showcased gouraud‑shaded graphics that gave the marble‑like world a smooth, three‑dimensional feel. An extra mode let you hop on a snowboard and race down icy slopes, a quirky twist that never made it to market. Although the title vanished before release, its ideas resurfaced in Kirby Air Ride years later.
