Summary
Kachou Shima Kousaku: Super Business Adventure is a quirky text‑driven adventure that leans heavily on its source material, the Kachou Shima Kousaku manga. The game was crafted by the modest studio Tom Create and saw its only release in Japan back in 1993 under Yutaka’s banner. Players navigate a series of business‑themed puzzles and dialogue choices, all presented through plain‑text screens that feel like flipping through a comic’s speech bubbles. Its charm lies in the way it translates the manga’s humor and corporate satire into a purely literary experience, making it a nostalgic curiosity for anyone who enjoys retro narrative experiments.
Storyline
The SNES title Kachou Shima Kousaku puts you in the shoes of a young salaryman named Kousaku Shima, who is determined to climb the corporate ladder. The game plays out like a Choose‑Your‑Own‑Adventure book: at key moments you are presented with a list of options and your selection steers the narrative. Your ultimate challenge is to juggle demanding work duties with Shima’s personal life, trying to keep both on track.
