What really makes the title stand out is the Nuoptix 3‑D system. It creates a virtual‑reality‑like depth that works best with the cheap red‑cyan glasses, yet the whole experience remains playable and enjoyable without them, which was a pleasant surprise back then.

Storyline

In Jim Power: The Lost Dimension in 3D, Special Agent Jim Power confronts the supernatural alien Vaprak, who seeks to defeat the last planet standing between his army and a dimensional vortex that leads to a lost fifth dimension. If Vaprak succeeds, the vortex will open a gateway for his kind and unleash a mutating effect on all organic life.

Because Vaprak’s forces are too strong for a frontal assault, Power must slip past Omni‑eye scanners, infiltrate the alien fortress and assassinate the greatest evil, sending Vaprak back to the sulphurous plane from which he came.
