Summary

The Legend of the Mystical Ninja on the Super Famicom feels like a chaotic carnival of challenges. Most levels pack double Warlock Stages, and the game’s 20 zones roar with savage stereo sound effects that make every jump feel urgent. You’ll juggle dozens of attack moves while solving magical puzzles, hunting down quirky foes such as the Carp Meister, who stuns you with poisonous fighting fish, the hammer‑wielding Tanaka‑U‑Out, and the unstoppable Sumo Tag Team’s belly‑busting crunch. Capturing all‑powerful sinjin items like the fire staff is essential, and missing the gotd coins dropped by enemies cuts off clues from the Fortune Palace and Char Cheddar Sushi Joint, as well as access to hidden risk zones like the Quiz House and Horse Races. The game even supports simultaneous two‑player mystic action, letting friends battle side‑by‑side or face off on a single SNES.

Storyline

Ganbare Goemon – Yuki Hime Kyuushutsu Emaki drops you into the cursed village of Horo‑Horo, where the beloved princess has vanished and a plague of giant locusts threatens to devour everything. All hope rests on the two ninja guardians, Kid Ying and his mentor Dr. Yang. Ying is a daring mystical ninja who can rip opponents apart while riding a psychedelic tiger. Yang wields the invincible spirit transformation, a power that makes him virtually untouchable.
Together they must battle through ten Levels of the Dragonbeast, each more treacherous than the last. Only by defeating the dragon’s minions can they hope to rescue the princess and lift the curse.
