Summary

Final Fight Tough (the SNES sequel often just called Final Fight 3) expands the classic beat‑'em‑up formula with a surprisingly deep roster and mechanics. You can pick from four fighters – returning heroes Guy and Haggar, plus newcomers Lucia and Dean – each with their own move set, weapon specialty and a unique combo when they grab their preferred weapon (Guy’s nunchaku, for example).

The game adds dashing attacks, grab‑and‑throw moves, and a Street‑Fighter‑style Super Move gauge that fills as you pound enemies; once full, a single, screen‑shaking Super consumes the whole bar. If you sit on a full gauge too long it empties automatically, keeping the action frantic. You can also team up with a CPU partner or a friend, and the levels themselves branch, offering different routes, enemies and bosses across six distinct stages.

What really sets Final Fight Tough apart is its multiple endings, which change based on the character you choose, the path you take and the difficulty you play on. Those branching conclusions give the game a replay value that feels fresh even after the final boss is defeated.

Storyline

Final Fight Tough follows the aftermath of the Mad Gear Gang’s annihilation, when a new criminal organization called the Skull Cross Gang rises to dominate Metro City. Guy, fresh from martial‑arts training, returns to the city and reunites with his old friend Mayor Mike Haggar, only to learn that the Skull Cross has sparked a downtown riot. They are quickly joined by Lucia, a detective from the Metro City Police Special Crimes Unit, and Dean, a street fighter whose family was murdered by the gang. Together the four heroes battle the Skull Cross forces, fighting to save Metro City once again.
