Summary

F1 ROC: Race of Champions (known in Japan and Europe as Exhaust Heat) drops you into a full‑season Formula One experience on the SNES, using the console’s Mode 7 to render sixteen international circuits with a convincing sense of depth. Each track mirrors the 1992 F1 calendar, from Monte Carlo’s tight hairpins to Monza’s blistering straights, and even the grandstands sport near‑perfect sponsor logos—censored only where tobacco or alcohol branding would appear.

The game treats you like a driver‑owner: you start with a limited budget and must purchase upgrades for your car before qualifying, while refueling is forbidden and pit stops are reserved solely for repairing damage. Even a small dent can bite into your finances, and severe damage may force you to retire before the checkered flag.

Customization is a major draw, offering millions of tweak combinations, and you can hide on‑screen stats such as position if you prefer an unobstructed view of the scenery. All of this combines into a surprisingly deep, arcade‑flavored F1 simulation for the Super Nintendo.
