Summary
Euro Football Champ lets you pick one of eight national squads—Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands or Spain—and then select a star player from four options for that side. Each match is a do‑or‑die affair: a win moves you forward, a draw ends the game unless you restart from the last win, and the opponents follow a tiered rotation that ramps up the challenge as you progress.
The game rewards hat‑tricks by the opposition, but it also makes the match harder when you pull one off yourself. Rough play is part of the formula; you can punch, shoulder‑charge, pull shirts or even deliver flying kicks, and the referee only blows a whistle if he’s close enough. Yellow cards are handed out for each foul, while red cards appear on the third, seventh and eleventh infractions—there’s never a fourth.
When the clock ticks below 30 seconds and you’re tied or trailing by one, your chosen star can unleash a “super shot” that literally shoves the keeper into the stands. The SNES version, published by Domark, also appeared under the name Hat Trick Hero in regions that swapped Spain and France for Japan and the USA.
