Summary

Dream TV for the Super NES throws players into a surreal world built from corrupted TV programs. The game plays as a fast‑paced action adventure where you control a pair of kids navigating sprawling mazes, battling over‑the‑top broadcast villains and hunting down scattered puzzle pieces. Its look and feel borrow from the campy vibes of the film Stay Tuned and the 90s Gex series, giving each level a cheesy, screen‑based theme. Labyrinth design is surprisingly intricate, demanding quick reflexes and a good sense of direction. The mixture of platforming, puzzle hunting and boss fights makes the experience feel both nostalgic and oddly fresh, especially for anyone who grew up with Saturday morning cartoons.

Storyline

Dream TV pulls the unsuspecting brothers Charlie and Jimmy into its world after a strange cartridge arrives in the mail. When they load it, the Critic, an evil presence inside the game, drags them inside. Now the two must battle for survival.

The journey takes them across four distinct Dream Worlds: a Medieval realm of knights and castles, an Egyptian landscape of pyramids and sand, a Prehistoric age filled with dinosaurs, and a futuristic zone of neon tech. In each realm they face the Critic’s minions and solve puzzles to progress. Victory in all four zones is the only way to break free. Their ultimate goal is to return safely to their own reality.
