Summary
Doukyuusei 2 landed on the Super Famicom in 1997, bringing the ELF‑crafted simulation to SNES owners after a staggered PC‑98, FM Towns, MS‑DOS, PC‑FX and Windows rollout that began in 1995. The game’s roster reads like a high‑school yearbook: Yui Narusawa, Tomomi Mizuno, Izumi Shinohara, Yōko Minamikawa, Minori Katō, Karen Maijima and Sakurako Sugimoto lead the female cast, while Aritomo Saionji, Yoshiki Nagaoka, Akira Kawajiri and the eccentric PE teacher Shinkansen Tendō round out the male side. Banpresto handled the Japanese SNES publishing, positioning the title squarely in the dating‑simulation niche. An OVA adaptation ran from 1996 to 1998, and the later expansion disk Nanpa 2 Special (also called Sotsugyōsei) earned its own short‑form anime, extending the game’s multimedia footprint beyond the console.
Storyline
Doukyuusei 2 (NP) puts you in the shoes of a high‑school senior during his winter break, spanning from December 22 to January 7. During this short window you must pick one girl to become your girlfriend out of fifteen possible candidates. The roster includes classmates as well as girls you can encounter while exploring the city. To win her over you need to meet each girl, build a friendship, and gradually deepen the relationship. The game ends when the chosen girl agrees to be your girlfriend.
