Summary

Circuit USA is the Japanese incarnation of Kyle Petty's No Fear Racing for the SNES. While the core game still offers 28 stock‑car tracks and a decent amount of tuning – you can swap gear ratios, adjust spoiler height, tweak tire pressure and upgrade parts between races – the visual treatment is noticeably stripped down. Track crossings lack any bridges or elevation tricks, giving the circuits a flat, almost toy‑like look compared with the American release. The roster of cars remains, each with its own strengths and weaknesses, and the three play modes survive: a quick Single Race, a full‑season campaign where prize money funds upgrades, and a dedicated tuning screen for fine‑tuning performance. Because the No Fear branding and Kyle Petty’s name are omitted, the Japanese box simply reads Circuit USA, but the gameplay experience underneath is essentially the same.
