Summary

Cacoma Knight in Bizyland blends the line‑drawing tension of Qix with a bright anime aesthetic. Each stage starts as a pristine landscape—forest, town, or similar—then fades into a corrupted version that you must restore by drawing chalk‑filled borders. Using the Magical Chalk you outline a shape; the smaller of the two resulting sections snaps back to its original, unspoiled form and often hides power‑ups that boost your score.

You can pick from three quirky pilots—Jack, Jean, or the robot RB93—each navigating the same single‑screen puzzles. Enemies scuttle along the screen edges or your freshly drawn lines, and trapping them inside a chalked area eliminates them temporarily, though they repopulate quickly. Getting hit too often forces a continue, costing one of your limited credits.

A “Qualify” meter tells you how much of the screen must be reclaimed before moving on, and a visual progress bar fills an incomplete picture as you clear round after round. The title itself is a wordplay on the Japanese phrase “kakomanai to,” meaning “must surround,” which perfectly captures the game’s core mechanic.

Storyline

In Cacoma Knight, the kingdom of Bizyland—also known as Fieldland—has been plunged into a bleak, colorless state. The trouble begins when Wagamama, the capricious queen of Lasyland, casts a spell that traps Princess Ophelia inside a magical mirror. With the princess imprisoned, the land’s vibrancy fades, leaving its inhabitants despondent. King Cacoma, desperate to restore his realm, summons the player to embark on a quest. The hero must navigate the cursed world, break the mirror’s enchantment, and free Ophelia to bring color and hope back to Bizyland.
