Summary

In Burai – Hachigyoku no Yuushi Densetsu you first get to meet each of the eight heroes through their own introductory vignettes. After the prologues you wander a world map that strings together quaint towns and hidden dungeons, giving the sense of a grand road trip before the final quest.

Combat unfolds in a first‑person, turn‑based format where foes pop up at random intervals. Every character brings a distinct set of techniques to the table, letting you experiment with different party combos as you clear each encounter.

Storyline

Burai – Hachigyoku no Yuushi Densetsu (often just called Burai) takes place on the diverse world of Kypros, home to humans, intelligent reptiles, dog‑like wosshus and many other races. The land is watched over by several deities, but the god of darkness, Daar, was sealed away by the god of light, Risk, after a long struggle. Years later, the demon lord Bido seeks to free Daar and plunge Kypros back into chaos. An ancient prophecy foretells that only eight heroes bearing magical pearls can thwart Bido’s plans. Among them are the daring pirate Zan Hayate, the wosshu warrior Gonza and his spirited sister Maimai, the elegant sorceress Lilian Lancelot, and several other unknown champions, each drawn from different corners of the world without knowing their destiny.
