Summary

The Brainies (known in Europe as Tiny Skweeks) is a quirky SNES puzzle title where you shepherd tiny Mexican‑jumping‑bean creatures across 101 increasingly clever stages. Using a cross‑hair you grab a Brainy of one of four colors, set its direction and watch it march toward a matching‑color landing pad, all while avoiding collisions with its fellows or the level’s obstacles.

Four difficulty settings crank the pressure, and a ticking clock means every second counts—run out of time and you lose a life. Along the way you can pick up items that may help or hinder, and arrow tiles can force a Brainy to change direction, often scrambling a carefully‑planned solution.

GamePro praised the brain‑stretching, addictive gameplay despite noting the tiny icons, and the SNES version even earned a feature in Nintendo Power’s 86th issue, cementing its reputation as a hidden gem for puzzle lovers.
