Summary

Bounty Sword is a Japan‑only strategy RPG that lives on the Super Famicom, and it throws a curious blend of real‑time flow and turn‑based tactics onto the battlefield. I love how you can watch your units march toward enemies on their own, then pause the action at any moment to issue a special command or trigger a unique move—making each encounter feel both frantic and deliberate. Between battles the camp screen lets you fine‑tune the squad: swapping gear, setting AI scripts, and even programming a heal‑trigger that kicks in once a character drops below a certain health percentage. The game was crafted by Imaginative Technology Land and saw its original launch under Pioneer LDC on September 8, 1995. Its mechanics were later revisited on the PlayStation with a 1997 remake titled Bounty Sword First and a 1998 sequel, Bounty Sword: Double Edge.
