Summary

Battle Cars drops you into a gritty, post-apocalyptic arena where racing doubles as a battle royale for your vehicle. At the start you choose one of three fully armed rides—a spiked machine, a hot‑rod, or a formula‑one‑style car—each available in several colors and used for the entire run. Between cross‑country sprints you can spend cash earned from destroying rivals to boost your engine, armor or one of three weapons (homing missiles, bouncing disks, and forward‑thrown grenades), each upgrade reaching up to level five. The game supports single‑player progression through nine brutal levels and split‑screen two‑player action, whether you alternate turns in the campaign or face off head‑to‑head on dedicated tracks.

Storyline

Battle Cars drops you into a bleak, post‑apocalyptic world where the only entertainment left is a brutal auto‑racing sport called “Battle Cars.” The game’s gritty atmosphere is built around this violent competition, turning the wasteland into a high‑speed arena.
At the start, you choose one of three distinct vehicles, each available in a range of colors. The spiked car is built for raw aggression, the hot rod balances speed and durability, and the sleek Formula‑One‑style racer offers top‑tier handling. Your selection sticks for the entire playthrough, letting you master its strengths as you battle through the chaotic tracks.
